Woof! It has been so hard keeping up with this site but I am so excited to share some of the biggest news of my life, I AM OPENING UP A BRICK & MORTAR!!!!! For those that don’t know, I started up a small clay jewelry and antique business back in 2020 during Covid called Baubles & Lace Mercantile. I started selling handmade clay earrings that I taught myself how to make when the world shut down. Once things started to lift, my Mom, Aunt and I had an opportunity to open up a booth at the Antique Loft at Trax Farms which is where I was able to start sourcing and selling handpicked vintage pieces for others to cherish. Over the years, my passion continued to grow and I started to develop a decent following and customer base. As much as I loved every second of having a booth, something still felt like it was missing in my life.
Ever since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of owning my own storefront. I started making jewelry at a very young age and would attend craft shows with my Mom as she also is very creative and talented. I learned so much from her as well as other small business owners that I now call friends. I turned 30 years old this year and decided if not now then when? So, I took the leap and decided to go for it.
I signed my lease back on April 23 and I am now in the process of getting everything together for my Grand Opening.
One thing that I can truly say is that in life you get thrown a lot of curve balls but it is always for a purpose. I have gone through so many highs in life as well as many lows but one thing I can truly say, is that they all have led me to where I am supposed to be. And that is a small business owner in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania!
As I always say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
